Surprise Marriage Proposal and Engagement Party Afterwards!

I was honored to be hired to capture a surprise marriage proposal and the surprise engagement party which followed.

The plan.... The couple would be taking their usual stroll along the Jersey City marina with their dog, where I would be waiting to capture the moment of the proposal. I would look like any other tourist taking pictures of the NYC skyline. The exact spot and time was all prearranged.

The second part of the plan.... After capturing the magic moment, introducing myself, and then quickly taking some posed photos, I say good-by. Unknown to the newly engaged bride-to-be, I quickly proceed to a nearby restaurant where family and friends are waiting and I am to capture yet another surprise. The newly engaged couple arrive a few minutes later on the pretense of "grab a quick celebration drink". The bride-to-be is surprised again!

It all went exactly as planned! Phew!
