Surprise Marriage Proposal on Asbury Park Boardwalk

These are turning out to be one of my favorite types of events to photograph. The creativity of the groom that goes into the planning, the challenges of ensuring you capture the moment, the reaction of the bride-to-be when the groom proposes, the love between the couple, the excitement of family and friends afterwards, all combine to make an amazingly thrilling time.

The plan....... The groom arranged for a violinist to be at a specific spot on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. He would appear to just be there, with his case open, playing to earn $$ from passers-by. Upon being approached by the couple, he would start to play their favorite song. Meanwhile, the couples family and friends are on the roof-top bar across the way watching the action. Of course, I am there to capture what transpires, looking like any of the many other visitors to the boardwalk, but I have a camera with a telephoto-zoom lens! Thankfully, it all went according to plan.

You can see a sampling of the 266 photos which captured this event at https://www.surprise-marriage-pr.jontakeseventpics.com/.
